Integration of fire alarm equipment and building management systems (BMS)

Smart Buildings Demand Smart Fire Security Automation Systems
Intelligent buildings require intelligent systems for building security automation. Efficient and reliable fire security systems require flexible interfaces for the seamless integration of all devices in the fire security system, as well as coordination with other automated systems such as fire suppression, ventilation, emergency lighting, signage, and elevator/escalator management.

DMTech is pleased to announce that the new extended and advanced M9000A series of addressable modules, engineered to cover various fire security requirements and facilitate integration with Building Management Systems (BMS), is available for sale. The series includes:

M9000 IO 0/1 Ext 24V – The module monitors and controls a relay output rated at 24VDC/2A, powered by an independent 24VDC/2A supply, separate from the loop.

M9000A IO 0/4 – The module monitors and controls 4 relay outputs, suitable for large venues where the fire security requires multi‑layer procedures, e. g.  open damper → start fan → activate emergency lighting.

M9000A IO 1/0 – The module monitors 1 supervised input and is engineered for installation in bathrooms (mounted in back boxes with emergency switches), technical rooms, and industrial zones where to supervise Emergency Buttons, Manual Call Point Detectors, but also Sprinkler Flow Switches, or Pressure Switches.

M9000A IO 3/0 – A useful and versatile an addressable module with three supervised input signals. Ideal for complex facilities requiring the integration of multiple devices monitored from a single point.

M9000A IO 1/1 – Addressable Module with 1 Input and 1 relay Output. Engineered to enable two‑way logic in medium‑complexity zones where the system must both listen and act: detection → action.

M9000A IO 1/1 250V – 5A – Supervises a single input signal and drives a relay output rated at 250V / 5A. Essential when the devices require more power than standard low‑voltage outputs, such as high‑voltage outputs, e. g. high-voltage fans or lighting circuits.

M9000A IO 2/2 – The module supervises two input signals and drives two relay outputs. Works well in smaller sub‑zones requiring paired logic:

  • Input: damper open → Output: start fan
  • Input: smoke detected → Output: activate emergency lighting

M9000A IO 3/5 – Supervises three input signals and drives five relay outputs, and is engineered to handle complex logic. Can read damper end‑switches (open/closed) while controlling fans and lighting. Excellent for big, high‑risk buildings.

M9000A ACZ – Engineered for monitoring and connecting conventional fire detectors (smoke detectors, heat detectors, MCPs) to an addressable panel. Typical Applications – Upgrading Old Buildings, Long Corridors or Large Open Areas, Remote or Harsh Environments.

ML9000A1 Expansion Module for Addressable Fire Alarm Panel FP9000A-6 – The module expands the panel configuration by 1 loop and up to 250 addressable devices.

Environmental Protection

Addressable modules M9000A IO 1/0, M9000A IO 3/0, M9000A IO 0/4, M9000A IO 1/1, M9000A IO 1/1 EXT 24V, M9000A IO 2/2, M9000A IO 3/5 and M9000A ACZ are also available mounted in a sealed for IP66 certified enclosure, providing protection against:

  • Solid particles Solid particles: Dust-tight protection against debris and dust.
  • Liquids: Waterproof protection against powerful water jets, rain, and splashes.

IP66-rated modules operate reliably regardless of weather conditions and are suitable for outdoor installation, as well as humid, extremely dry, or dusty climates.
