Configuring loops via Addressable Fire Alarm Panel FP9000A-2(6)
To configure a loop and address devices
first you need to
→ access level 3 of configuration of the addressable fire alarm panel by entering 333333 from the profile menu.
→ select a loop before accessing the INITIALIZATION menu and configure it.
Access configuration level 3
Tap on PROFILE icon

When in Access Level 3
Initialization Menu AND Addressing Modes
To configure a loop and address devices first you need to
→ select the loop from loops menu
→ turn on its ML9000A module
→ power on the loop
→ select addressing mode from the Init. Menu.
Available addressing modes are:
- Automatic
- Semi-automatic
- Manual
When in access level 3
Tap on desired loop to access its Settings
Tap on LOOP Toggle Button → Confirm operation → Loop's module ML9000A is on
Tap on POWER Toggle Button → Confirm operation → Loop is POWERED
Suitable for new installations or large scale installations. DMProg is engineered for programming each device’s address before mounting it on the addressable loop.
After addressing the devices with DMProg you need to configure the loop via the Addressable Fire Alarm Panel.
Automatic Addressing via the Fire Alarm Panel
Automatic programming via the fire alarm panel is most suitable for new or large scale fire alarm installations.
After all devices have been addressed via addressable programmer and mounted on the addressable loop, the devices’ addresses need to be read via the addressable fire alarm panel.
For automatic addressing, from the initialization menu first you need to → assign the number of devices addressed by DMProg and installed on the loop
→ tapping on the retrieve congfig input box
→ selecting the number of devices installed on the loop in the dialog box
→ tap ENTER
→ wait for the addressable panel to read the devices installed on the loop.
To read the configuration of another loop press BACK ARROW → select the other loop form LOOPS menu → turn on loop’s module → power on the loop → select the initialization menu → repeat the steps above.

To configure another loop → tap on another loop from LOOPS menu
Semi-automatic Addressing
Semi-automatic addressing is performed before mounting the devices on the loop.
After setting the addressing mode to semi-automatic, each device is installed on the loop and then the fire alarm panel reads and gives it an address.
For semi-automatic addressing, from the initialization menu you need to select Manual Addressing → Confirm the operation
→ wait for the fire alarm panel to check the addresses
→ select SEMI-AUTO option → Confirm the operation
→ start installing the devices.
It is most suitable for small scale installations.
Manual Addressing
Each device needs to be mounted on the loop, first.
Then the fire alarm panel has to detect it and by manually adding the device via the fire alarm panel’s settings, the device are read and addressed simultaneously.
For manual addressing, from the initialization menu you need to
select Manual Addressing → Confirm the operation
→ wait for the fire alarm panel to check the addresses
→ select ADD NEW option → Confirm the operation
→ install a device
→tap on PLUS icon → Confirm the operation
→ repeat for installing and adding each next device
Manual addressing require devices to be installed and addressed one by one.
It is most suitable for small scale new installations or replacement of defected devices.
